Shall reply her alittle on how I feel and think about the word. But first of all let's understand the word perfect from the Dictionary.
I have choosen two to discuss about it.
"PERFECT: conforming absolutely to the description or definition of an ideal type"
To me: It means that the word can be use to describe on an object, item or maybe even on a person. That mean to say if the object or item just suit the way that you want it to be that maybe perfect also. If it is use on a person, it may not mean that we are describing his/her appearance in term of looks. It could be his/her attitude against any issues.
"PERFECT: to bring to completion; finish."
To me: The above sentence may be talking about an event or tasks given to you. You did a good job complete it on time or even much earlier than the given time. This may consider perfect also. Cause you finished the tasks given to you with no extended time request from your boss.

Exactly hOw perfect does perfect have to be???
Answer: It depends on individuals. Everybody will sure have their perfect ways, perfect person, perfect items, perfect life.......etc. So there is no perfect of the perfect that you are thinking of. All you need to do is think of what you actually want then that will be perfect already.
For those who knows how to read chinese and for the benefit of those who know english. Below is the other meaning of perfect.

Should start off with family members, you address your father or mother as Daddy, dad, pa pa or Mummy, mum, mama....etc and same goes to your siblings. Over here we can see that this addressing nothing more than just respect your elderly or someone who is senior than you are.
Even for those who have younger siblings. Do not tell me you are not calling his/her name or didi/mei mei and choice to call them "OEI". Won't it be rude?
Next will be the addressing given in a relationship, some will call dear, darling, dummy, bie....etc. In this case, it will be a slight different from the family members. Why I said so? Cause these addresses that I had just mention is to represent how close you want your partner to be.
In front of your friends, the moment you call your partner they know how close you are with your partner. Not only that they will not think that both of you are purely friends but more of BGR.
Addressing given to your partner can be creative. Like some may call lao gong, lao po(though they are not offically married), dear, FiFi, BiBi and of coz many many more........
Think again, we know you are in love but you do not have to make it in a way that you want the whole world to know that you two are BF and GF. Afterall, you two are still in love only. Unless you are married then I shall zip my mouth over here.
As for me, I do not deny that I call my girlfriend as Dear. Yup! You can say I am not creative but who cares? So long as she acknowledge it, means she accepted what addressing I had given her.
So you do not really have to be super creative nor have to listen to others how they call and follow blindly and deafly. Just be yourself and feel at ease that is the best.
